Beryl was born in the village and still lives in the house on North Street where she grew up with her parents. She attended Turners Hill Primary School and has gone on to play a key part within the village especially within the St. Leonards Church community. She attended Sunday School and went on to join the Choir and then began to help with the flower arrangements in the church itself. Beryl has been making the flower arrangements for St. Leonards Church for many years now, everything from the usual Sunday service flowers to Easter Lilies, Wedding Flowers and the Advent decorations. Beryl started the Christmas Tree Festival with support from her two daughters, Nicky and Tracey and this was very successful right up until COVID hit. Beryl has also been a judge at several local flower shows. Continuing with her service to St Leonards Church she also sits on the PCC.
Congratulations Beryl!
