Share Haywards Heath

There’s more to sharing than you may think...

Have you borrowed anything from Share Haywards Heath yet? If you have, you will already appreciate the benefit of being able to have a piece of equipment available just for one-off use. It means you have saved money by not having to buy the item yourself, as well as not needing to find somewhere to store it. Moreover, it means that you haven’t added to the huge number of items being manufactured for occasional use and this can only be better for the planet in the long run.

Whether or not you have used the service, you might like to consider it in a slightly different light. How often have you thought about buying a new item of kitchen equipment but then been unsure if you will like it or how useful it will actually be? Share Haywards Heath gives you the opportunity to ‘Try Before You Buy’. So maybe borrow a slow cooker, an air-fryer, a bread maker or an ice-cream maker to help get a feel for how they work and how they may or may not fit into your life.

You may also be surprised by some of the other items that are available to borrow.

· Did you take part in the Big Garden Birdwatch at the end of January, only to find the birds were harder to identify than you imagined and perhaps a pair of binoculars would have been useful?

· Do you need to use a pressure washer – but only as a one-off or very occasionally?

· Is there nobody around to feed your cat while you are going to be out a bit longer than usual – maybe a cat feeder would help. Or perhaps you’d just like to try one to see if your cat likes it!

· Going hiking, or on a day out where you need to take a lot of gear? - maybe a rucksack would help.

· Been asked to present to a group and wish you had a projector? – Share Haywards Heath have one to lend!

· Finally, would you like to make a special cake for a loved one? Borrow the heart-shaped cake tin.
